These are both really amazing ideas for lists. I love world building—it’s such an important aspect to a story for me. I think another good example would be The Golden Compass, or even Tolkien’s books since there’s so much detail in them! I haven’t read as many of the ensemble cast books so I can’t really comment on what you’ve picked!

I’m the same way!! I actually am debating about continuing the Jewel series even though the characters were pretty bad for me, just because of the world!
Great lists! I love the world building idea – you forget sometimes how important it is. Makes me excited to finally read the Sin Eater’s Daughter!
