TLA Wrap-Up!

So to start things off if you don’t know what TLA is it’s the same is ALA(American Librarian Association) except just in Texas. Seeing as it’s the only place I’ve ever gone I’m not sure if it’s smaller than the others or not, but boy can I say that the publishers still bring all the books! I brought home so many books I don’t even know what to do with myself.

The event itself was absolutely amazing! Despite all of the flooding we were able to get in and out of Houston quite easily (Minus the moment when we were evacuated from our first hotel room due to the water rising…heh.). I often take my mother to these events because she’s as much of a book nerd as I am, she loves bringing home all sorts of books and reading them probably faster than I do! She even writes these adorable reviews on GoodReads and I love her so much for it.

I got to meet so many amazing authors, and so many amazing bloggers! I don’t even know where to begin! Aside from the fact that I pretty much forgot to take a LOT of photos because I was so busy just living life. I really let myself experience TLA this time, instead of getting swept up in everything I let myself relax. If I didn’t get that ARC? Oh well. It was time to just move on and keep moving forward, down the road there was someone to talk to, or an author to chat with. I can’t even begin to tell you how much better that made my time.

I came home with so many books, I don’t even know what to do with them. I DID manage to get them to fit on my bookshelves….barely. We’ll see how many I’m able to get through these coming months. I think the best way to show my week is through the tweets I did manage to send out.

The week was fantastic and I can’t wait to go again next year in San Antonio! If you’re going to come you have to let me know! We can always meet up and chat!
